RedM is a modification framework for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC that enables custom multiplayer experiences and dedicated community servers. Developed by The CitizenFX Collective, the team behind FiveM, it lets creators build persistent worlds with bespoke game modes, roleplay systems, and server-side logic.
RedM offers a modern scripting environment with support for Lua, C#, and JavaScript/TypeScript; access to RDR2 native functions; asset and map streaming; and integrated positional voice chat. Server owners can modularly deploy resources, manage permissions, and support larger player counts with advanced synchronization. RedM runs alongside a legitimate installation of Red Dead Redemption 2 and does not modify base game files. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive.
